Tag Time: Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Thank you Jamsu for tagging me!

I am a pretty big Buffy fan so this made my day lol

Buffy: A Character Who Lives A Double Life

June from Marie Lu’s Legend books. Is she on the side of the Republic? The Patriots? The Colonies? Haha I mean I know but still, watching her try and navigate as a double agent is awesome and so much fun.

Willow: A Badass Witch
A Badass Witch…I mean does Ead count? I mean she gets accused of it so we’re going with it, I love Ead from The Priory of The Orange Tree.
Xander: A Character who Just Provides Comic Relief

Altair from We Hunt The Flame gives me absolute life and makes me chuckle so much. I’m actually pretty hard to make laugh while reading a book but Altair’s hilarious.

Dawn: Favorite Sibling Relationship
Fred & George Weasley from Harry Potter. I adored their twin relationship…pardon me while I go sob in a corner now.
Angel: An Extremely Broody Character

Alec Lightwood…I mean he grows out of it, eventually, but he was a broody little shit at times.

Cordelia: A Character Who Undergoes Major Growth

Hesina from Descendant of the Crane. She starts out as a seeker of truth, but she comes to realize sometimes the truth is more than we can handle.

Spike: A Character With A Redemption Arc

Balthazar from Bad Breed The Necromancer’s Bride/ Gaslamp Gothic series. I cannot think of a character more deserving of this atm, and he’s pretty great.

Giles: A Parental Figure

Oshe from Kingdom of Souls was such a breath of fresh air, a supportive father who loved his. daughter and had no reservations on showing affection. More of this, please?

Faith: A Character With Questionable Alliances

Draco Malfoy, I mean, let’s be real, I question even his choice in goons.

Tara: A book With LGBTQIA Romance

The Veiled Threat, a kickass female Elven Pirate Captain and a pretty awesome Princess. Need I say more?

I tag
Everyone.

Books that Remind me of Spring

BESpring19 Post

Theresa is still today’s host and her prompt today is spring shelf decor. As I don’t actually decorate my shelves, like, at all, unless you count dust, I am passing on today.

But. I’m doing yesterday’s prompt late because I had a cool cover reveal to do, and it’s prompt from Theresa was books that remind us of Spring! [Click on her name to go see her fabulous post yesterday]

[Thank you to Sam & Clo for putting this event together!]

So, here we go, books that remind me of spring and the nicer parts, not the allergies

The Forsyte Saga

I couldn’t just not add this one. This classic is so near and dear to me. Spring reminds me of birth and renewal and second chances, and this book as a lot of renewal and second chances.

Anne of Green Gables Collection

Never has a character reminded me so much of spring than Anne of Green Gables ❤

The Secret Garden

I feel like The Secret Garden and Anne of Green Gables are probably just on everyone’s spring list that’s read them, Idk, but they’re staying on my list. In fact, my daughter and I just finished watching the WB version of this movie, my favorite version of it no less.

Bloom

After reading this a couple of months ago, not only does the book have a little echo of spring in it, this cover is just so spring-y to me! A sweet fun read and a love story which let’s face it, love is in the air in spring, or so they say.

Me Before You

The ending of this reminds me of spring more than the rest of the heartache this book induces. Something about how and where our dear protagonist ends up reminds me of spring. I don’t want to spoil it for those who haven’t read it.

That’s it! My spring reminding reads.

Toodles!

Bookending Spring 2019- Marie Kondo Challenge

Another Bookending Spring 2019 post from me! [Today’s prompt was given to us by AJ]

Sam is our amazing host for this, so go look and see what 30 books she’d keep if she were Marie Kondo, here! [Thank you to Sam & Clo for putting this event together!]

[Remember you may not want to do this prompt but that’s okay, you can still participate in the event, us hosts are just here to give prompts that you may use if you want! And I couldn’t help myself, I wanted to do this prompt and like every other. To find out how to join the event click on Sam’s name where you’ll be taken to her blog with the information you need!]

AJ noted someone did a Marie Kondo Challenge and decided to give it a go and so have I! So…What 30 Books would I keep if I could only keep 30? Well I mean the ones pictured for sure…but let’s see what else (and that’s impressive since I don’t have my final/physical copy of Descendant of the Crane)

Well there we have it, I would cry and throw a fit if the rest of my books could not stay but these are the ones I guess I couldn’t do without, that I own already.

But let’s be real. I’m not getting rid of most of my books anytime soon, and I’ve loved almost every book I’ve read that I own, and if I don’t, well, out it goes.

What about you? Did you do this prompt? Send me your links for it! And if you didn’t, what books would you want to keep?
