Rabbit Bright

Rabbit Bright goes boldly into the night, turning night-time fears to colourful dreams in this glorious, stylish picture book.

Sunless jungle, blackest cavern,
Deepest ocean, starless night:
In amongst these nightmares
There’s no glimmer of a light.

But when a certain rabbit
Sets out across night’s field,
The wonders of the darkest haunts
Are suddenly revealed…

A stunningly illustrated adventure, perfect for calming bedtime worries.

My Review

This picture book is so vibrant, the artwork is definitely the first thing you notice. The words though are a lovely contrast to the bright colours, soothing and an adventure that sets the small ones right up for bedtime.

Rabbit Bright knows that night time is for sleep but the rabbit sets out to find the light, why? Because Rabbit Bright is so very sure that light can be found in every dark place.

It’s an enchanting little tale that ends with Rabbit Bright satisfied in the quest for light, and ready to accept a warm bed.

I loved the calming words and the vivid imagery is the perfect sort of thing for younger ones to be read to.

The mini-me really liked the pictures and the deep sea was her favourite. All the creatures were ‘so neat and I liked the colours’ [her words, I wouldn’t have been as eloquent].

Thanks to Hatchette [Children’s] for a copy of this in exchange for my honest opinion as part of the blog tour. 5/5 Cups of decaf from this mom and kid duo.
