5 Comfort Reads

There’s pretty much no list of fave reads that this doesn’t appear on that I post. So, today is no exception. I really wish I could explain why it’s so comforting to me but I love going back to it, time and time again.

Another that shows up on so many of my lists, it is something I really read A LOT, and if I’m not reading it, I’m watching it. I think it’s the comfort of misery, you know that old saying, ‘misery loves company’ I’m pretty sure that applies here.

I wanted so much to be Daine as a preteen and my love for this quartet is about the same, I mean yes I’ve grown but I’m just such a loyal reader hahaha, but, I’m glad to know that my reading has changed over the years, just taking a few old faves along with me.

Well I just talked about changing and growing as a reader, and here’s one of my new favorite comfort reads. I don’t know why I go so dark with comfort reads but there you have it, apparently I like having my heart ripped out. I love Arrah’s strength and her love for her family and I could reread this a billion times over.

Another heart stomper! I adored this book and its sequel so much and this trilogy is really shaping up to be one of my favorites ever though I’m terrified for the third book. I love the comfort of the scifi and the lore and retelling adaptation is just so amazing.

Anyway there you have it my 5 comfort reads, despite their…darkness and heartwrenching bits.
