Hey everyone, how are you all?
If you ever need to comment just to talk, I’m here! Even if it’s about what you had for breakfast or anything at all lol.
Anyway, so, I know everyone has their ways of dealing with stress.
I have always immersed myself in something, reading, playing a game, something to kind of take me away from this world.
It’s been true all my life since probably my late teens and hasn’t changed at all.
Take these times, I’ve been reading a lot, or I did last month anyway, and this month I have been playing Assassin’s Creed Origins like it’s going out of style soon. [I love that game] It also means though that I pull away from real life, so I don’t reach out, I don’t respond, I don’t do things I do normally, it’s my way of just hiding away.
The point of this post is to say, sometimes a sign of someone reading A LOT or NOT is a sign of stress depending on the person and what’s going on around them. And we shouldn’t judge or feel judged for it.
I remember during school years, I was so stressed and busy with schoolwork that I basically didn’t read anything outside required readings the whole time. And that was strange for me, but, it made sense in my situation.
Did you read 31 books last month? Did you read none? It’s okay either way, and it’s okay to deal with things on your own terms and on your own timeline.
Productivity is not necessary when your world is changing and sometimes crashing down around you.
How about you all? What do you do when you stress?
My mom bakes, seriously, we’ll have cakes and cookies for days when she gets to the end of her tether.
My husband broods. He’s very pretty when he broods though, so it’s okay.
I obsess lol, and the spawn has taken after me.
It’s a short post, I have a game to play, and later I have books to read.
