What I’m Hoping to Read this Year

So I did a post inspired by DB to get some series books finished this year and I’ve actually been surprisingly DECENT at it…thus far…in the early days of 2024.

I’ve finished a couple of series/duology/trilogies including Bridgerton! I’m going the extra mile with Bridgerton now and going for the Lady Whistledown books, should be fun. I’m also currently reading Seven Mercies, the ending of the Seven Devils Duology so just living my best life lol.

What I’m intending to finish this year:

• LOTR, I only have Return of the King left but I read it in tandem with the audio and I’m on the waitlist for the audio.
• The Locked Tomb, I read Gideon last year and really liked it
• The Poppy War, I read the first book ages ago and I loved it and I’m ready to at least read book two but
• He Who Drowned the World, loved the first book, now time for the second!
• The Drowning Empire (Books 2&3), another where I start it and I’m like can’t wait and then forget to pick it up lol
• Redemptor, this one is high up on my list especially with her new book coming out this year set in the same world.
• A Day of Fallen Night, cause I mean how could I not after adoring Prior
• The Atlas (books 2&3), it’s time I finish this trilogy lol
• Witches Steeped in Gold #2 (Empress Crowned in Red)
• The Lightstruck, Darkening #2
• Given to the Earth, Given to the Sea #2

What other series plan to continue this year, but probably won’t finish lol:

• Air Awakens
• The Iron Fey
• From Blood and Ash
• Breeds Series (maybe)
• Legendborn

There we have it, just some little lists for anyone curious, any series or books you’re hoping to read or continue this year? (I am notorious for also just stopping a book halfway and coming back to it ages later lol)
