Her Radiant Curse eARC Review

One must fall for the other to rise.

GoodReads

I’m sorry in advance for the typos, I can’t see my keyboard through my tears.

I have been a huge fan of Elizabeth Lim since reading Spin the Dawn and truth be told I think every single book I’ve read by her since has always been such a good read for me. But this one? This one had my heart in a chokehold.

Channi is one of my favorite characters and hearing her story was just exactly what I needed. I adore this world and I don’t know if Elizabeth Lim will write more in it or give us new worlds but I know this one was such a necessary story, for me personally, to have.

The story’s pacing is perfect for the sort of story we’re given; one that gives us a background and separate story for a character who had been part of the story for others.

I love Lim’s writing style and it’s a huge reason why I enjoy every book by her that I pick up and I loved the characters in this. I already adored Channi but I didn’t realize I could love so many more characters that we had in this, I don’t know why I didn’t realize this lol.

I don’t want to write too much as this might give away things for those who haven’t read Six Crimson Cranes or just in general, no spoilers for this book itself!

Channi loves her sister and will do anything for her. She’s been a protector all her life but now she is forced to leave home to continue protecting her sister. There’s so much in between and I can guarantee you, I’ll be rereading this again.

5/5 Huge cups of coffee from me! Thank you so much to the Publisher and Netgalley for an eARC in exchange for my honest review! If you’re curious, here are my other Elizabeth Lim reviews:

  1. I’m going to read this around middle of the month. I also love author’s writing and I enjoyed all books by her so far. So glad to know this was as good as previous books in this series. Amazing review!
