Hi there everyone! Look at me, joining a meme, it’s like watching a foal standing for the first time lol.
Anyway this meme, Top Ten Tuesday is brought to you from ThatArtsyReaderGirl
I’m excited, I feel like I’m learning so many new things and meeting so many neat people, who I will call my friend against their wills probably, #creepy but #sorrynotsorry.
This has really been a crash course for me this week and there are so many things to try out and explore in this book blogging community. I’m so grateful to not be doing this all on my own! I’m getting mushy. Please make it stop. I’m ginger, I have no soul, this is painful.
ANYWAY. AGAIN.
Top Ten Tuesday, here are my top 10 on my TBR, in no particular order and with no guarantee that I will get to then in the next six months lol.
This is the sequel to The Axeman’s Jazz
–It’s in Chicago this time, and Louis Armstrong makes an appearance again, I’m excited. End story.
2.Stalking Jack the Ripper
I may have maybe should have already….read this. I will! I swear it! I have till February 21!
3.Le Belle Sauvage
-Uhhhh His Dark Materials. ‘Nough said. But really, I loved that series so I’m SUPER looking forward to this one
4. Metro 2034
-If you’ve read my review on Metro 2033, you know how much I loved it and this one has my fave character as the main focus, yaaaaas.
5. The Hobbit
-It’s time to get my Tolkien on.
6. An Autobiography, Agatha Christie
-The last nonfiction I read about her sucked marbles, so, I need this, this year lol.
7. The List
-Seems interesting, but the reviews are super varied, someone help me out, I was excited but is it worth it? (This is why I try not to read reviews on Goodreads beforehand lol)
8. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, The Original Screenplay
-It’s on my shelf staring at me every day. Besides, at least I know what to expect lol
9. Good Omens
-My husband gets to pick a book for me to read every so often and he thought I would like this one (actually he picked it 2 years ago, I’m that bad at procrastinating)
10. The Book of M
-It had a pretty cover and the blurb about it really caught my attention. Another one though with some tepid ratings.
And that’s it for me, time to actually go read now, bahaha jk food first.
Have you read these? Anything I should know about them if you have? What are some of your TBRs you’re hyped for? Have a TTT list? Post it in the comments so I can see it!
I don’t know if there’ll be a post from me tomorrow as it’s the Hub-bub’s birthday [Oh yea, I call him that, it’s his name for me in his phone unless he pisses me off, then I change it to Heathcliff]
Thanks to ThatArtsyReaderGirl for the meme!

“His Dark Materials. ‘Nough said” heck yes! Book of Dust is pretty consistent with HDM so it’s awesome 💖 Fantastic Beasts is kinda fun to read, though obviously it’s exactly the same as the movie without the bonus of Eddie Redmayne’s pretty face to look at and the visual glory of the mating dance 😜 I’m not much for Tolkien (loved the LOTR movies but couldn’t get through the books), and Good Omens wasn’t as funny as I was hoping it would be, but I hope you enjoy all of these when you get around to reading them! 📚

I really love the movies but when I tried to read the books my eyes rolled in the back of my head so I’m hoping The Hobbit is nicer to me lol

that’s such a mood! though I only got through The Hobbit because my eighth grade teacher assigned it 👀 (all the other classes were reading The Giver which I actually liked, so I was lowkey salty about it!)

Oh no! Haha and I ADORE The Giver!

YES The Giver is awesome! the sequels are pretty good too, thogh I still haven’t seen the movie 😅

Great list!
Re: What Isabelle said about Tolkien. I definitely found The Hobbit easier to read than LOTR (which I couldn’t get into) but it can be tough if you aren’t much for high fantasy.
Stalking Jack the Ripper was a bit predictable to me, but it was a fun read.
Good Omens was cute, but again I agree with Isabelle. It wasn’t as funny as I had hoped.
The List is on my TBR pile as well. And thanks to you, I added The Axeman’s Jazz!

I’ve read GoT and a few Wheel of Time books but something about Tolkien’s descriptions 😂 and I wouldn’t normally read SJtR but it’s part of a book club 🙂
Hmmm I’m curious how I’ll like Good Omens now

Awwww I consider all book bloggers I talk with as friends, of course 💕Which is probably the case for most of us :p
Stalking Jack the Ripper is one i’ve been interrested in for a while! I even saw it on my last trip to the bookstore but yet… idk if i’d actually pick it up xD

Thanks to you, my TBR grew quite a bit just now 🙂 I especially like the looks of The List (hopefully those mixed reviews don’t turn out to be a bad omen)! Metro 2034 also caught my eye… I looked up the first book in the series, and it seems interesting, but I’m not sure if it’s in my usual wheelhouse or not. We’ll see how it goes. Anyways, I’m looking forward to seeing your thoughts on all these books!

Yay! I’m so glad to hear that! The pacing in Metro 2033 is a bit disjointed at the end but a lot of great world building at the book is scary without showing you the monster/threat so it’s a bit of the anticipation and building up, it isn’t something I would have picked on my own but my husband recommended it to me 🙂

Hmmm, see that’s what I’m worried about — thriller-type novels normally aren’t my thing. It sounds like it’s definitely worth a try though! I do enjoy suspenseful plots, so maybe I’ll like this one 🙂

I will say it was a horror book but it was post apoc

Well I hit enter too early lol anyway I was saying it’s post apocalyptic and I was worried about that but I was just happy it wasn’t zombies and I’m a huge baby and wasn’t too terrified lol

Haha, no worries. That’s good to hear. I guess I’ll have to wait and see!

Great list! I approve of The Hobbit. I remember I loved it when I read it, many many many years ago *clears throat* Let’s pretend I didn’t use that many “manys” in there, okay? I also have to read Fantastic Beasts but….ugh yeah… I have no desire to do so, even though my copy is staring at me every day :))) Happy reading!
