Charity Shop Finds!

Hey all! I had no intentions of buying more books but I saw a couple I just couldn’t pass up and it’s 2 for .99p so….can you blame me? What did I score? Check it out!

Coraline and The Graveyard Book.Β Tbh, these books look brand new and I loved the movie Coraline, I knew it was a book and I finally get to read it!Β Eventually, these will be more appropriate for my daughter but for now they go on my shelf.

What am I doing about now? Well, I’m really enjoying trying to be active in the bookblogging and bookstagram communities, and I am still reading!

Current reads:

The Alienist (1/4 done, and will burn through it without the other book I reviewed yesterday bahaha)

The Parisians (Just started and already I’m really enjoying the lightness of it and the ease that it flows with)

I am thinking about doing a list post, what do you think should I do my top 5 favorite (Spellcheck keeps insisting to turn me British. I WILL NOT ADD THAT U!) series or my top 5 favorite Sci-fi books? Let me know! And I’d love to hear about your current reads and/or charity shop finds!

That’s it for me, I’m pooped, I’m going to go roll up like a burrito in my feather duvet.

Toodles!

Coraline and The Graveyard book are both ones I have heard a lot about! I am glad you could snag copies in your charity shop. I have seen the movie for the former and really enjoyed it so maybe I should try and read those myself too DD: Happy reading!

  4. oh these are gorgeous! (maybe too gorgeous, considering how creepy the stories are… πŸ‘€) my local library back home does book sales sometimes where you can get books for 99Β’ or like $1.99, that’s where I got my copy of A Wrinkle in Time and it’s wonderful.

  7. I love charity book finds. I love the old classics I can find there. I remember as a kid going to the country town markets and trawling through the charity book stalls and leaving with a whole pile. They look like they are in GREAT nick for charity buys!

    1. Thanks! I love getting classics too! Sometimes I’m not fond of the modern take on classic covers.

    1. We have A LOT of granny books too but I feel like a lot of people just donate what they don’t read here so I get lucky 😊 (whereas I just hoard the books πŸ˜‚)

  10. Can you believe I haven’t finished coraline?! I started it like 3 different times and for some reason i had to stop before she goes to the other world all 3 times! I need to find some time to watch it T_T I started reading the graveyard book a few years ago but never completed it. It’s been haunting me since so when I saw it at the thrift store a few days ago I had to buy it xD now i can finish it πŸ˜›
