As a Kid I grew up watching 13 Days of Halloween every year on ABC Family, it was, arguably my favorite time of year to watch TV, after all Halloween is my favorite holiday!
Now, they still have something similar to it, but, I haven’t had actual TV in almost a decade, and it’s not quite the same for my old nostalgic soul. Not to mention, we have to adapt, new movies come out, in my case I have a kid and we find our own favorites together as well as sharing my own with my spawn.
Here’s our 2025 13 Days of Halloween list with you all! It’ll be two lists, one family friendly, one not lol. Also this post is a couple of days into our list so far! I have another post coming this Thursday (10/23/25) with my books I’m reading for this haunting season along with recs for books and movies!

Twitches Night
We didn’t get to Twitches the last time we had it on the list but have since then and spawn and I decided it’s time to do it again lol.
Snack or Meal Theme? We did a snack because this was after a family dinner, we had cheese and caramel popcorn mix so it had a bit of a Halloween scheme to it, lol.

ParaNorman
Snack or Meal Theme? In a rare turn of events we had two family meals in a row lol, but we did some of the pop in the oven Pillsbury ghost cookies and at dinner my niece made some cute Halloween cupcakes.

Scooby-Doo Night
Snack or Meal Theme? We are having po’ boy sandwiches, stacked Scooby style (like Pierre’s ones in Zombie Island) And we’re having Scooby snack graham crackers. If I can find a Beignet kit I’ll make some too but I’m not sure I have time to make some from scratch lol.

Beetlejuice
Not sure if we’re going to also watch the second one this time but it’s a fun one too!
Snack or Meal Theme? Might do some shrimp cocktails with this one, if not, maybe just some Halloween themed cookies lol.

Haunted Mansion (2003)
We’ve watched the newer one (again) already this year and the Muppets one again too. So time for another round of this one lol.

Snack or Meal Theme? I’m doing some chocolate pancakes and though it’s iconic I’ll be skipping the margaritas unless we have more 21+ people coming lol.
