This isn’t going to be a long review, I really couldn’t help but dive right into this the moment it came in especially since I’d just finished Heart of the Sun Warrior.

The book is a collection of short stories that take place from before Daughter of the Moon Goddess all the way up to after Heart of the Sun Warrior.

In fact, if you’re hoping for an extra epilogue/ending to the duology, this book has the perfect tale for it.

I adored this collection of short stories told from the POV of other characters, which is a nice treat to see from their eyes instead of solely Xingyin’s.

What it comes down to is that this is a great addition if you want more of this world but it’s not necessary. So if you want more of the Celestial Kingdom and the cast of characters from it, I say go for it and read this if you get the chance.
